International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad (IIITH) is an autonomous university, founded as a not-for-profit public private partnership (N-PPP) in 1998, and is the first IIIT in India under this model. Over the years, the institute has evolved strong research programmes in various areas, with an emphasis on technology and applied research for industry and society. The institute facilitates interdisciplinary research and a seamless flow of knowledge. IIIT is arguably one of the better colleges for computer science in India....That's why it is even counted better than Computer Science in many IITs. Most of the core comp sci courses are done by the time a student finishes second year. The later half is mostly focussed on research. As such, the college has a nice research oriented culture. But it is more popular fot it's coding culture. IIITH has a very strong programming (as well as gaming) culture. Coding like gaming is like a part time activity here. The course curriculum here has most of assignments as programming based. There are many college activities like hackathons , programming contests etc throughout the year. One institute's ranking basically depends on 3 factors such as: Placements ,Campus/Infrastructure, Studies. IIIT-H however, has a razor-sharp focus on Computer Science. IIIT-H's culture makes students uni-dimensional but also specialises them so heavily that they really excel at what they do....IIIT-H builds a culture of research from the very beginning .In terms of CS research , IIIT-H is one of the best places in India . IIIT-H coding culture is counted among the top most in India. Placement wise also IIT-H is better than many NITs or even IITs. Its infrastructure is very good and so far as CSE is considered it is said to be at par with IITB/ IITD/ IITK etc and far better than any NIT and the new IITs . Many top MNCs visit IIIT Hyderabad every year. Students from outside India also come to NIT Warangal to study, which also plays a vital role in it's ranking. Placement wise also IIIT-H is very good.s

 Mode Of Admission

• One can get admission through JEE (Main) exam, or by writing a separate exam conducted by IIIT-H. One must separately apply for IIIT-H counselling.
• Admissions are done on the basis of total marks in JEE (Main) examination.
• Obtain a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class XII.

• Apart from JEE(Main), students can take admission by DASA, UGEE mode, Olympiads(International Olympiad on Informatics, Science Olympiad, Mathematics Olympiad, International Linguistics Olympiad (IOL) / Panini Linguistics Olympiad (PLO)).
